Bubbles
I should like a bubble
wrapped around us both.
Away in happiness
we will float.
Shining rainbow overhead,
spirits soaring high.
The world around us a blur,
only you and I.
Bubbles cannot last forever,
but they’ll make sure we survive.
This is about falling so into the habit of every day routine with someone, that you forget to really see them and give that relationship the attention it deserves. It’s wanting an escape from the mundane with them to keep the romance alive.
As with all poetry, I encourage you to take your own personal meaning from the words, even though they are my own. I’d love to hear your thoughts and what it means to you.
